What is it about travel that makes us giddy? Why do we save, share, or screenshot beautiful photos from places worldwide? Or, when someone wins the lotto or gets a significant raise at their job, they usually say, “I’m going to take more time to travel!”
With the recent pandemic, it’s probably no surprise that many of us are itching to get out and explore again. And now, with vaccination rates rising, and travel restrictions lifting, it seems many people are doing just that. According to a survey from the Expedia group regarding 2022 tourism, people value travel and personal time more than ever, with 81% of respondents planning to take at least one vacation with family and friends in the next six months. And after two years of uncertainty and getting to know every inch of our homes intimately, it’s refreshing to hear that people are ready to get out and about again.
At Local Revival, travel is essential to us. It’s a time for us to unwind and recharge and spend quality time with family or friends. It’s also a way to educate and open our minds to new surroundings, businesses, cultures, and people.
Because of these reasons, we decided travel would be an essential piece of our business model. So, it makes sense that we have a travel consultant and expert on our team, Rachel Luis. As a travel planner with Cruise Planners l American Express Travel, Rachel keeps her finger on the pulse of the latest travel news and trends. For our clients, she not only helps them plan memorable vacations, but she’s able to assist with destination weddings, honeymoons, and travel for any other major milestone. Everyone loves her attention to detail, welcoming nature, and honest opinions. And we are so thankful to have her as a part of our team!
This month on the blog and social feeds, we’re exploring the topic of travel a little more in-depth. Vacations abroad, staycations at home. Where are we going? What are we doing while we’re there? How do we preserve the memories and share them with others? With many of us experiencing chilly weather, we hope to ignite the travel bug within you and inspire you to plan your next adventure.
So pack your bags, book the pet sitter, and join us as we venture out and explore both near and far!
PS: Because travel is such an extensive topic, there’s no way we can even begin to scratch the surface of the possibilities. So, if you like what you read and what we talk about this month, please be sure to like, comment, and share so we know if we should create a follow-up series.
