I don’t know about you, but I love throwing a party. There’s something about hosting that is extremely fun for me. Deciding on a theme, picking out the decor, selecting the perfect menu items… I don’t see it as work but as a fun way to expand my creativity muscle (remember that theme from last month?).
According to venuereport.com, throwing a party can also be good for your health! I know it sounds crazy, but here are the seven reasons (click on the link above to read the full article):
- Friends have a positive effect on your immune system
- Hosting teaches you to embrace stress
- Socializing is good for your memory
- You’ll sleep better
- Parties are mood boosters
- Your organizational skills will improve
- Your skin and heart will thank you
More than just an opportunity to socialize, parties can help motivate you to get things done around the house that you’ve been procrastinating on. Want to paint the hallway? Or fix the bathroom sink? Or update your landscape? Plan a party, and more than likely, it will inspire you to get that nagging item knocked off your list in no time.
However, I know some people don’t share the same excitement about parties that I do. Maybe they don’t know where to look for vendors or how to organize all the details, so the evening is seamless. Or perhaps it’s because parties can be a lot of freaking work!
April marks the beginning of the spring party season, and this is the time of year that we look forward to at Local Revival. Weddings, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, and holiday gatherings. It’s an opportunity to rejoice in all the blessings life has given us among stunning tablescapes, delicious food, family, and friends.
So this month, uncover the outdoor furniture and get your notepad ready as we discuss parties in detail: what to wear, planning secrets, DIY and decor ideas, etc. Large or small, parties don’t have to be complex or stressful. You just need a few planner tips to point you in the right direction.
