Not sure about you, but I’m not a fan of working out. I want to love it because I know a good sweat sesh always makes me feel amazing. However, half the battle always seems to be finding the motivation to go, right?!
At the end of last year, I signed up for eight classes at CycleBar Brandon to try something new. And you know what? I loved it! So now I’m on a monthly plan of 8 rides per month.
Cycling isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s hard work and constantly challenging – mainly because I choose to go to the 6 am classes.
Feeling good isn’t the only reason I prefer CycleBar Brandon. Yes, it’s a great environment to help achieve my “move goal” without being utterly miserable at the same time, but there are some behind-the-scenes details that keep me coming back. Here are a few:
It’s a True Community – Not Just a Place to Workout
My “workout family” makes me feel at home: As soon as you walk in the door, you’re greeted with a smile and a hello (insert your name here). It’s like you’re walking into the set of Cheers (am I dating myself?) Amazing. Even if the greeter doesn’t know your name, they genuinely make an effort to find out and get to know you.
Nothing but good vibes
It’s all about the positivity: One might think with attendance being primarily female, things could get a little “catty” (we’ve all seen the commercials for Real Housewives, right?) But in my experience, I’ve encountered nothing but positive vibes. The instructors are a boost of energy. They leave uplifting messages on everyone’s locker, and while they challenge everyone to do their best, they do it with a smile and sometimes the crack of a joke. Even if you’re not a fan of working out, their positivity inspires you to feel differently.
Think you can slack off? Think again.
They hold you encouragingly accountable: Whether it’s your first class or your 200th, instructors and attendees at CycleBar Brandon are there to cheer you on and challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. If it’s a notable ride (i.e., your 50th, etc.), they give you a shout-out during class (and, of course, everyone cheers). If you haven’t been to a class in a while, you’ll receive a gentle text reminder asking when they might see you again. Or, if you sign up for a class and decide to hit the snooze button instead of going, you’ll be charged a $15 “no show” fee. Yes, this might sound mean, but it’s in place to hold everyone accountable. It’s gotten me up plenty of times when I didn’t want to.
There are so many more reasons, but these are my top three. Once again, this isn’t an ad. It’s just a fantastic place to work out. I always leave refreshed, inspired, and ready to start my day. As a bonus, I have met so many uplifting and badass women along the ride (pun intended).
So if you live in the Brandon/Bloomingdale/Riverview area and are looking for a new place to check out, I highly encourage you to stop by. Visit their website https://www.cyclebar.com/location/brandon, or message them on social media for more information.
Also, if you don’t live in the area, other franchise locations are available throughout the country. And while I can’t speak to each specific environment, I would assume the CycleBar brand remains intact regardless of the area.
